Finally, Amazon has an answer to ChatGPT.

The tech giant claimed on Tuesday that it is going to launch Q. It is a business-based chatbot which is powered by generative AI.

The announcement, which was first made in Las Vegas at the conference the organization hosts for the AWS computing service, represents Amazon’s response to its rivals who had rolled out chatbots that have captured the attention of the public.

The release of ChatGPT by the San Francisco-based startup OpenAI surged the interest of the public as well as businesses to take an interest in the tools of generative AI that could easily spit out emails, essays, marketing pitches, and other textual passages that could easily replace the work of humans.

Amazon said on Tuesday that “Q can do things like synthesize content, streamline day-to-day communications, and help employees with tasks like generating blog posts. It said companies can also connect Q to their own data and systems to get a tailored experience that’s more relevant to their business.”

The technology is currently all set for previews.

While Amazon is ahead of its rivals like Google and Microsoft as the dominant cloud computing providers, it is not considered as a leader in the research dedicated to AI that has resulted in advancements in generative AI.

A recent index at Stanford University, which measured the transparency of the top ten foundational models of AI, which includes Amazon’s Titan, had ranked Amazon at the very bottom.

Meanwhile, the company has been moving forward. In the month of September, Amazon said, “it would invest up to USD 4 billion in the AI startup Anthropic, a San Francisco-based company that was founded by former staffers from OpenAI.”The tech giant has also been giving out newer services, which include an update for its famous voice assistant Alexa, so that the users may have more humanized conversations.
