As the largest land power tradeshow in all of North America, the annual AUSA meeting brings together a host of military experts and industry leaders to show how you and your business can partner with the army to bring about success for everyone.

2019 AUSA ANNUAL MEETING DETAILS:
This year’s annual meeting is scheduled for October 14–16 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. With over 30,000 attendees and 700 exhibitors, this event in an exceptional place to network with industry leaders. A myriad of presentations, educational events, panel discussions, and social opportunities will combine to inform, educate, and connect. Admittance to the event is free, however, there are a variety of ticketed social events available for purchase.
WHERE TO STAY:
There are a few recommended hotels where you may receive a discount rate for being an AUSA attendee. Marriott Marquis Washington, DC is a good choice. It’s new, flagship hotel in the heart of downtown DC and offers all the modern amenities. There’s also the Renaissance Washington, DC. It’s another upscale hotel and offers exceptional on-site dining at its restaurant, Mixx. If the discount blocks sell out at these hotels, another good choice is the Hyatt Place Arlington/Courthouse Plaza, which features easy access in and out of the city and offers a breakfast buffet to fuel up before heading out for the event.
SEEING THE SITES:
Washington, DC is home to many of the country’s most historic and meaningful attractions and monuments. After a day at the meeting, be sure to get out to the National Mall and take in the splendor of all of the monuments lit up at night. There are a variety of tours to choose from, including walking tours, electric scooter tours, and bus tours. Even if you have visited the DC area before, there is always something new to see while touring this cultural gem.
The newest addition to the Smithsonian family of museums in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. After you finish taking in the striking exterior, visitors will find a museum committed to the documentation and presentation of African American life, art, and history.
INDULGING YOUR TASTEBUDS:
Because the meeting is located right in the heart of DC, attendees will have a wide range of dining options to choose from while attending the event. Located just a few blocks from the convention center is the popular Busboys & Poets cafe is a great place to grab lunch in between events. Offering a cornucopia of salads, soups, sandwiches, and other treats, you will find what you are looking for at this DC establishment. For an upscale dinner, check out the nearby Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak, and Stone Crab. This iconic institution is also a great choice for cocktail hour, featuring a variety of appetizers and drinks at value-driven prices.
