1. BMW M2
According to Car and Driver, the M2 model is “one of BMW’s greatest hits available today.” It offers manual transmission or automatic transmission options, a turbocharged inline-six engine, and ultra-precision steering. When all is said and done, starting packages come to around $85K.
2. Porsche 911
Everyone loves the Porsche 911 — from everyday commuters to even the most passionate performance enthusiasts. And the 2020 model is no exception. The latest release offers automatic transmission or manual transmission options, a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, and, depending on your setup, excellent handling in any weather. Pricing starts around $99K.
3. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
One of the most recent Mustangs to leave the stable is better than ever. The Shelby GT500 boasts muscular, head-turning exterior stylings and offers a supercharged V8 engine with 760 horsepower as well as a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that shifts quickly. Standard pricing for this whip starts around $73K.
4. McLaren 600LT
The McLaren 600LT is the perfect mix of form and function, brain and brawns — where sex appeal meets elegance. It offers a V-8 engine with 592 horsepower, a luxury interior, and a natural, downright fun-to-drive handling and steering experience. But, it ain’t cheap. Standard pricing for this beauty begins at nearly $260K.
5. Mazda MX-5 Miata
The Miata was released in February 1989. And from day one til now, performance and sports car enthusiasts have obsessed over subsequent model releases. The model year 2020 was no different. The MX-5 offers a 4-cylinder engine (which ain’t no wimp) for a quick dance of zig-zagging fun across winding landscapes. And as the most affordable vehicle on our list, the Miata comes in around a whopping $33K.
6. Toyota Supra
The Supra all but died in 1998. Sales hit a sharp drop and, as a result, Toyota pulled it from the US market. But not without leaving a legacy. For almost twenty years, fans have been longing for a new model or remake. Well, folks, it’s finally here and it sure is nice — offering a turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 335 horsepower (at least), solid handling, and exterior styling sure to make any classic Supra fan more proud than ever before.
